15. Arisaema cf. wilsonii from Kaichen A-17
- Hi Eric, Here are some photos of an Arisaema received this year
from Kaichen. It is A-17 and listed as wilsonii.

- Wilbert Hetterscheid (30-4-03): My guess is this is a purple form of Arisaema asperatum
or the newly described Ar. danzhuense. I feel that wilsonii is a good alternative but I
think that species is just a form of asperatum in my present interpretation. Pascal
Bruggeman has pointed out that in the holotype of true asperatum, the spadix appendix tip
is rather distinctly obtuse, where our plants from Chen Yi have a sharp tip. That would
indicate they are all danzhuense (which HAS a sharp tip), even the asperatums and
wilsonii's in Gusmans' book. Enjoy this enigma!!
